Soccer Conditioning Drills for High School Players

One of the toughest soccer conditioning drills for high school players or anyone who wants to get fit through pure torture.

When I remember the days running this conditioning soccer drill in training, I remember a very uncomfortable feeling as I gasped for air.

I call this soccer drill "Pure Torture".

CONDITIONING DRILL SET UP & INSTRUCTIONS

This is a very easy soccer drill to explain and the main factor is getting the players to run at full pace.

Players will use the lines on the soccer field for this soccer conditioning drill.

  • Start at one goal line, and sprint to the goalkeeper box line, and run back to goal line.
  • Continue with sprinting forward to the edge of the penalty box, touch the line, and sprint back to goal line.
  • Keep going to the half field line, and back to goal line, opposite edge of the box and back, opposite goalkeeper box line and back.
  • Finish with a sprint to the opposite goal line, and back to the starting goal line.
